Diren materializes the invisible wounds inflicted by emotional trauma, challenging societal norms that downplay or dismiss psychological suffering. The work disrupts conventional narratives by making the texture of pain tangible, revealing the deep scars left by emotional violence. Notably, this piece is designed to be touchable, inviting the audience to physically engage with the artwork, thereby deepening their connection to the embodied experience of pain. 

In this installation, the body becomes a site of resistance and a canvas for political expression, confronting the normalization and erasure of emotional abuse. By rendering emotional pain visible and touchable, Landscape of Pain advocates for a broader, more inclusive understanding of violence, urging a reevaluation of how trauma is perceived and addressed in both private and public spheres.
